Current interests include surgical treatment of both benign and malignant gastrointestinal disease, emphasis on minimally invasive procedures.  Other interests include breast and thyroid/parathyroid surgery.

M. Ross Tekulve, M.D. is a native of Cullman, Alabama.  He lived there for 18 years then moved to Mobile, Alabama during his college training of 8 years. He earned a BS in Biomedical Science in 1998 and went on to complete his M.D. degree in 2002 from the University of South Alabama in Mobile.  In 2002, he moved to Lexington where he completed his Internship and Residency in General Surgery at the University of Kentucky, finishing in 2007. His surgical interests include Laparoscopic General Surgery, surgery of the bowel, endoscopy, breast and thyroid surgery.  He lives in Lexington with his wife Darcy Tekulve, a Lexington native and their children.

Dr. Castellanos is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Internal Medicine residency at Robert Wood Johnson University hospital (formerly Rutgers University), 3-year fellowship in

Gastroenterology at Louisiana State University Medical Center. Advanced and extensive training in all aspects of Gastroenterology with particular attention to gastrointestinal endoscopy. Advanced training in ERCP in Barcelona, Spain.  Member American Gastroenterologic Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Lexington Medical Society and Kentucky Medical Association.  He practiced Gastroenterology in Wisconsin for 7 years, during which time he was Chairman of Endoscopy at Mercy Hospital.  He has been practicing since 1994.

Dr. Pezzi is board certified in Gastroenterology, earned his medical degree from Temple University, completed a residency in Family Practice, obtained board certification in Family Practice.  Completed Internal Medicine residency at Leigh Valley in Allentown, PA., and received board certification.  Completed 2-year Gastroenterology fellowship at Louisiana State University Medical Center, then a third year at Indiana University where he obtained advanced training in ERCP under the guidance of world-renowned experts.  During these Gastroenterology fellowships he received advanced and extensive training in all aspects with particular attention to gastrointestinal endoscopy.  Member, American Gastroenterological Association, Lexington Medical Society, and the Kentucky Medical Association.  Dr. Pezzi was Chief of Gastroenterology at St. Joseph Hospital from 1999 to 2015.  He has been practicing Gastroenterology in Lexington since 1995.

Robin Sutcliffe is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.  Nursing degree, Kentucky State University, 1994, Master’s degree in Primary Care Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University, 2010.  Worked in family practice for 2 years prior to joining our gastroenterology practice.  Extensive nursing experience in critical care and gastroenterology.  Member of The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives.

Dr. Earl Robbins,II, MD is board certified in Gastroenterology. Dr. Robbins earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from University of Kentucky. He earned his medical degree from University of Kentucky College of Medicine. Dr. Robbins then completed his internship/residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, Georgia, before going on to complete fellowships in both Gastroenterology and Hepatology from University of Miami School of Medicine, Miami Beach, Florida. He has been practicing Gastroenterology in Lexington since 1997.

Graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Las Vegas Nevada in 2006. Graduated with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Kentucky in 2014. Experienced in hospital based medicine as well as outpatient gastroenterology. Worked in critical care nursing for 8 years before becoming an APRN. Currently providing medical management of both general gastroenterology and hepatology.
