Patient Information & Assistance

Our Staff

Our staff consists of Certified Medical Assistants (CMA's), a Receptionist, a Scheduling Coordinator, Office Assistants, a Transcriptionist, a Billing Specialist and an Office Manager. They will be able to assist you with any nursing or insurance problems you might have.

Patients are seen by appointments and you can usually see one of our physicians within a week of calling for an appointment. However, if you have an urgent or emergent problem, please let us know as soon as possible. Because our work often involves emergencies, unexpected delays are unavoidable. We will try to let you know anytime there is a delay in keeping our appointments. We appreciate your patience when this happens. If you cannot keep your appointment, please give at least 24 hours notice. This permits us to take care of other patients and/or emergencies.

We will file all claims to your insurance carrier(s) and all necessary documentation for claim processing.  However, if your insurance company has not paid after 90 days, the bill is your responsibility and payment is due immediately.  Should your account be placed with our collection agency, you will be responsible for the

balance and collection costs (40%), including attorney fees, court costs, etc.

Charges, Billing, and Payments

Our fees are comparable with other qualified providers in the area.  We require that all copayments, deductibles and non-covered services are due at the time services are rendered.  For your convenience we accept cash, personal checks, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and CareCredit.

If you have questions regarding your statement, please contact our billing service at (859) 317-8714 during the office hours of 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.  If you are having temporary financial issues, they will be happy to discuss a reasonable payment plan.

If you need immediate medical attention and the office is closed, call our office number or paging service, and a physician will be notified.  In the instance of a life-threatening emergency, please call 911.

We make a conscientious effort to call our patients with test results, biopsy reports etc. However, we can get busy at times and may overlook something of importance to you. If you do not hear from us within a reasonable time, please call the office.

and Hepatology.

In some instances, we may ask physicians in other fields to assist:

•  For operations, a member of our physician’s group, or a Certified Physician’s Assistant (PA-C) may assist.  This is done to provide you with the safest, smoothest, most efficient operation possible.

•  Anesthesia services are often required for the work we do.  There are several physicians who provider anesthesia services and we work with all of them.  If you have a preference, please let us know.

•  Specialists services (Internal Medicine, Oncology, etc.) are sometimes required to treat a new condition or to follow-up on a known condition.

You will be billed separately by the anesthesiologist, hospital, ambulatory surgery center, pathologist &/or the Physician’s Assistant, for their services provided.
